Divorce is permitted as a very last resort. However the impact it has on children is tremendous. In order to cushion this the Almighty has clearly laid strict laws governing custody & access of the children. Hindering this, denying the children their right to both parents, using them as tools of revenge etc will seriously affect the children negatively in countless ways throughout their lives!
