At times when we are at our lowest, we need something to lift us our spirits up. I find that quotes, short stories and poems helps me lots through these process. To remind me that to count every small blessings :)In rainy days you might want a little sunshine to light your heart. In sunny days you might want a shade and cool breeze.. Just like little kind words and some motivation to get through rough days.. Something to keep you going.

Both man and woman did not know Daniyal had heard their conversation. Daniyal, shaking with anger ran out and slammed the door. ‘Who was that? ‘ asked Sara surprised. ’I shall go and check’ said Yahya getting up. He went outside and heard a sobbing noise from his shed. ‘Anyone there? ‘ He asked peeking inside cautiously. What met his eyes was a sorrowful sight. Daniyal was sobbing loudly with his head in his knees.
‘Daniyal, my boy, what’s wrong?’ asked Yahya softly going up to him. ‘Everything’s wrong!’ screamed Daniyal angrily. ‘That man destroyed my life! We would have been living on the money Dad left us! I want to kill him!’ Yahya stared at the boy, he sat down next to him, going into a memory relapse. He remembered when 7 years ago, he had heard Ahmed and his gang had shot his father down. His mother had died of a broken heart, leaving him all alone in the world. He himself had sworn to kill Ahmed. He left his town and had shifted to this district. He got a job as a police officer and spent a year trying to track him down. Then he married a woman and lived with her and his mother-in-law.
Then, in a shooting fight, the police nabbed 3 of Ahmed’s men. Yahya was leading the police who caught the men so naturally, Ahmed wanted his revenge. His gang raided his house and shot his wife. At that time, they also shot Yahya in the face and he fell down but was very much alive. The gang left thinking they had killed everyone. Yahya’s wife lost her life and he himself needed a plastic surgery to save his face. He still was very handsome but, he had been handsome before too.
‘This boy might end up like me,’ he thought ‘I have to stop it!’ ‘Daniyal,’ where were you when you left your dad? ‘In the village of Narew.’ Daniyal replied, still sobbing! ‘That’s where they were at the last shoot out!’ thought Yahya excited. ‘They thought we would never dream of searching that place! And we didn't!’ Yahya got up and ran outside. He drove off to the police station and called up for reinforcements.
The next day, Yahya returned. His leg was bandaged up but that was all. The whole house rushed out to meet him. ‘Where were you?’ asked his mother-in-law crying and laughing at the same time. Yahya just grinned. There wasn’t much to explain. He had telephoned for reinforcements and had got them. He had drove down to the village which was 2 hours away. They had made for the old mansion where Yahya had found Ahmed earlier. The police cars had surrounded the house. There was a lot of firing and many policemen and been hit. Fortunately, none had been seriously injured. Reinforcements kept coming and so did the ambulance. All night, there had been shooting and screaming. Finally, at dawn, there was no more noise. Ahmed had been shot dead. Yahya had received treatment and was promoted to head of his station. The hospital wanted him to take rest, but he was all so eager to tell the sad family about his success, he couldn’t wait. Even now as he told them each one of them was laughing at crying at the same time. That night Yahya proposed Sara.
They were going to marry soon, but now, lets leave this happy family thanking their Creator for what he had done!
THE END
