SOME OF ALLAH’s Favours upon us:

* Our heart beats around 100,00 times every day.

* Our blood is on a 60,000-mile journey.

* Our eyes can distinguish up to one million colors surfaces and take in more information than the largest telescope known to man.

* Our lungs inhale over two million liters of air every day, without even thinking. They are large enough to cover a tennis court.

* Our hearing is so sensitive it can distinguish between hundreds of thousands of different sounds.

* Our sense of touch is more refined than any device ever created.

* Our brain is more complex than the most powerful computer and has over 100 billion nerve cells.

* We give birth to 100 billion red cells every day.

* When we touch something, we send a message to our brain at 124 mph.

* We have over 600 muscles.

* We exercise at least 30 muscles when we smile.

* We are about 70 percent water.

* We make one liters of saliva a day.

* Our nose is our personal air-conditionin g system:

* It warms cold air, cools hot air and filters impurities.

* In one square inch of our hand we have nine feet of blood vessels, 600 pain sensors, 9000 nerve endings, 36 heat sensors and 75 pressure sensors.

* We have copper, zinc, cobalt, calcium, manganese, phosphates, nickel and silicon in our bodies.

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? [Quran 55:13]

You know a person truly loves you for His sake when they remind you of Him constantly. They fear not of how you may view them, nor do they get put off from telling you, in fear of being ridiculed. They will remind you, for they would love to meet you in Jannah. They will continue to remind you, lovingly, to help you walk the straight path..

..know who your companions are, for true companions will save you from an-Naar, not dip you in it..

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers [51:55].

Why take pride in your looks, your possessions, your wealth.. had He not willed, you'd have none of it. He created YOU for a reason. The reason is not to expolit the gifts He has blessed you with. You exist today because He wanted you to exist.. YOU had nothing to do with it..

Drop the pride. Indeed you are a traveller in this world. But a guaranteed destination for you is your grave. Thus, Drop. The. Pride. None of what you have today is because YOU willed; everything you have is because HE has willed for it to be. Your looks, your possessions and your wealth will not follow you to your grave...

Call Him before He calls you..
Pray before you are prayed upon..
Remember death before death remembers you..
Recite His words before His words are recited upon you..
Leave the worldly life before the worldly life leaves you..

Often we sympathise with the terminally ill; how do they wake every morning thinking today may be their last day? How are we any different? How do we NOT wake every morning thinking today may be OUR last day?

You have been created by the Creator, the most magnificent, the omnipotent, the greatest artist mankind has seen to date. Thus how can your outward beauty be far from beautiful? How can a creation of His be anything but perfect?

Feed not into the conception of perfection held by mankind, for indeed their definitions of perfection is filled with flaws, faults and commonness. You have been made unique, one of a kind, a beautiful sculpture that has been created, perfected and fashioned by your Lord.

Why would you want to change that? Why would you want to be something the creations want you to be? Be pleased with who you are and what you look like, for indeed, you are nothing but perfect..

Sometimes when you take a step forward, you find yourself taking ten steps back. Perhaps the step towards that path was not for you. At times, we find ourselves striving towards a particular goal; but no matter how hard we try, or which path we take, we never get there. Your destiny is pre-written. The pen has been lifted and the ink has now dried. There is no eraser. There is no way around it. What happens, happens because He has willed it; believe it is for the best.

Confide in Him as He says He is closer to you than your jugular vein. Believe Him when He says His mercy overcomes His wrath. Trust Him with patience..
So, how can our hearts not love Him… when no one else answers prayers, conceals faults, relieves distress, and grants us blessings?! ALLAH truly loves us all! Allahu Akbar

Six Questions

Once the great Imam Al-Ghazali posed 6 questions to his students as follows;-

Q1 – “What is very close to us in this world?”

The students gave all kind of answers such as our parents, spouse, close friends, our children and etc.

Al-Ghazali replied:-“ Yes, those answers are quite correct but the perfect answer is ‘death’ because ALLAH SWT has promised us that those who lives will definitely die” (refer Sura Ali Imran 185)

Q2 – What is the furthest from us in this world?”

The students gave all kind of answers such as the country of China, the moon, the sun and etc.

Al-Ghazali replied:“ Yes, those answers are quite correct but the perfect answer is ‘our past’ because in whatever the circumstances , whoever we are and whatever vehicle we use we cannot go back into the past. So we have to always take care of today and the coming days with righteous deeds that is taught by Islam”

Q3 – “What is the biggest in this world?”

The students gave all kind of answers such as the mountain, the earth, the sun and etc..
Al-Ghazali replied:-“ Yes, those answers are quite correct but the perfect answer is ‘temptation (Nafs)’. So we must always be cautious with our temptation so as not to allow it to drive us to hell (Jahannam)” Refer Sura Al A’raf 179)

Q4 - “What is the heaviest in this world?”

The students gave all kind of answers such as iron, steel, the elephant and etc...
Al-Ghazali replied:-“ Yes, those answers are quite correct but the perfect answer is ‘being trustworthy (Amanah)’ Al Ghazali explain “ The plants, trees, animals and the mountain could not accept the task of being the caliph of this world but human, with arrogance and conceit accepted the task and so much so many human beings are being thrown into hell (Jahannam) by ALLAH  SWt because they have breached the trust others place on them. Refer Sura Al Ahzab 72)

Q5 - “What is the lightest in this world?”

The students gave all kind of answers such as cotton, dust, the wind and etc...

Al-Ghazali replied:-“ Yes, those answers are quite correct but the perfect answer is ‘neglecting the salat (daily prayer’. Al Ghazali explain this is especially true as people are known to simply neglect the salat because they are having a business meeting , having to work etc

Q6 - “What is the sharpest in this world?”

The students gave all kind of answers such as the sword, knife and etc...
Al-Ghazali replied:-“ Yes, those answers are quite correct but the perfect answer is ‘human tongue’. Al Ghazali explains that with their tongues human arrogantly will offend and hurt the feeling of others.

The life of the heart is knowledge; so preserve it, The death of the heart is ignorance; so avoid it. Your best provision is true devotion; so provide it. This advice of mine is enough for you; so heed it. - Imam al-Ghazâlî

When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good, anD
I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come from your eyes,
I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you cared,
I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking
I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good
productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and wanted to say,

BLEssinG in DisGuisE!

Remember when you were a little child trying to learn to walk? Maybe not, but I'm pretty sure it went something like this:

First you had to learn to stand: a process involving constantly falling down, then getting back up. You laughed sometimes and cried at other times. Somehow there was a determination and conviction that you would succeed, no matter what.

After much practice you finally figure out how to balance yourself, a necessary requirement. You enjoyed this new feeling of power - you'd stand everywhere you could - in your crib, by the couch, on someone's lap. It was a joyous time - you did it! You were in control of you.

Now - the next step - walking. You'd seen others do it - it didn't look that hard - just move your legs while you were standing, right? Wrong - more complexity than you ever imagined. More frustration than anyone should have to deal with. But you tried, again and again and again until you figured this out, too.

If people caught you walking, they applauded, they laughed, it was a, "Oh my God, look at what he's/she's doing". This encouragement fueled you on; it raised your self-confidence.

But how many times did you attempt when no one was watching, when no one was cheering? Every chance you got. You had places to go, things to see, knowledge to learn. You couldn't wait for someone to encourage you to take the next steps. You learned how to encourage yourself.

If we could only remember this about ourselves in today's day.

Remember that we can do anything we set our minds to if we are willing to go through the process, just like when we learned to walk. We don't need to wait for others to encourage us; we need to encourage ourselves.

If you've forgotten how to do this, or feel like your self-esteem needs a boost, take a short journey back through the your life - look at your accomplishments, no matter if they were large or small - you met the challenge and figured out a way to succeed.

Focus on all the things you thought you could never do, initially, and did. While going back, look for the little child you once were. Thank them for never giving up. As you wave goodbye, remember they will never give up on you. They have believed in you all of your life!

Now you need to believe in you too!

"Remember, today is the best day of your life because yesterday was and tomorrow may only be."

Put aside your pride, set down your arrogance, and remember your grave.

Letter to ALLAH.

Dear ALLAH ,

You know We love you. We love you so much. You’re the only source of hope and positivity in our life. ALLAH , We have learned so much about islam and You and ourself because of this incredible pain that you’ve laid on our shoulders to test us. we used to feel angry at reading about how we supposed to be thankful for the tests you give me because We thought that they were too much. But then We saw what You mean. We saw how differently and how much more clearly We can see and appreciate our blessings after having gone through this agonizing pain. And so yes, We are thankful for having gone through it and We are honored that you think highly enough of us to test us with this incredible burden.

But ALLAH .. Please, take it away now. we cannot handle this burden anymore. we do not want to spend our days hoping to be able to cry because our agony is so deep that we can’t even do that anymore. we don’t want our “good days” to be so empty anymore.

We know, my Lord, that this life is temporary and fleeting and the End is what matters. We also know that my pain is nothing compared to what millions of others go/have gone through.. nothing compared to the struggles of the blessed Prophets. But We are weak, our Lord. We promise,We will try to make you proud. We know you know how hard We struggle with various things each day. Of course you know, you are the All-Knowing one.

But ALLAH , WE need your blessings now. My Lord, We are honored to be a bearer of your tests but our strength is failing now. Please lift the burdens before We break. Please offer us some relief. Please ease the agonies of our soul. Please free us of our afflictions. Please, Lord, grant us some comfort.

We ask for your forgiveness for being so weak. And We hope that you will shower us with your Great Mercy, ya Ar-Rahman, even though we may not deserve it.

O one who loves us more than 70 mothers would, my Lord, dry our tears now. Heal our soul. Cure our illnesses. Ease our bodily pains. Ease our mental afflictions. Ease the aching of our shredded heart. Help us fill the holes inside. Grant us comfort. Because only You can. Ameen.

In Islam A Woman is always under the care of someone,

When she is young, she is under the care of her parents.
When she is married, she is under the care of her husband.
When she is old, she is under the care of her children.
These are her guardians and wordly protectors.

Look at how ALLAH takes care of them from Birth till Death Subhan,ALLAH!

Today, my 8-year-old son hugged me and said, “You are the best mom in the whole entire world!” I smiled and sarcastically replied, “How do you know that? You haven’t met every mom in the whole entire world.” My son squeezed me tighter and said, “Yes I have. You are my world.”

———————————— The Burnt Biscuits –————————
—————————— Small Story with a Moral ————————

When I was a kid, my mom would prepare special breakfast every now and then. And I remember one night in particular, after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad.

... I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I’ll never forget what he said: Honey, I love burned biscuits.
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned.
He wrapped me in his arms and said, Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she’s real tired. And besides – a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone! You know, life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. I’m not the best at hardly anything, and I make so many mistakes forget to congratulate people on their special occasions.

What I’ve learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults – and choosing to celebrate each others differences – is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

. And that’s my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life but always have trust in God. Because in the end, He’s the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt... biscuit isn’t a deal-breaker!
We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!
Don’t put the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket – keep it in your own.

So Please pass Us a biscuit, and yes, the burnt one will do just fine.!.

or lift the spirit other than ALLAH subhana wa ta'ala.

: A young man in a village refused to believe that ALLAH has total control of everything. He claimed that Allah cannot make him eat food if he didn't want to eat. To prove his point, he decided to stay hungry for a day and see if ALLAH can make him eat.

His mother tried her best to stop this foolishness but he paid no attention. Annoyed of his mother in the evening, he decided to climb a tree and isolate himself there. Being compassionate, his mother decided to leave the food under the tree incase her son finally gives up and wants to eat. When the night fell, a group of robbers were passing by that tree. They noticed a plate of delicious food placed under the tree.
They looked at each other in amazement and thought that someone must be playing a trick on them. May be someone is trying to poison them with good food. They looked around to see if there was anyone nearby and noticed the young man on top of the tree.

The robbers got him down and told him to eat the food to see if it is poisoned. But the young man refused to eat as he is still carrying on his challenge against ALLAH. The robbers became suspicious and started beating the young man to eat. He gave up and started eating.

Seeing that the food was not poisoned, the robbers left him and went away. Finally, the young man admitted that yes, ALLAH has total control of everything.

My Sister's......

Find a Husband who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the guy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of everyone, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you as a wife ...The one who turns everyone and says, 'that's my only love...'

Always look for the Positive no matter how small. :)

THE ULTIMATE STORY (A short story)

There was a farmer who grew superior quality, award-winning corn in his farm. Each year, he entered his corn in the state fair where it won honors & prizes.

One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew his corn. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors.

"How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with
yours each year?" The reporter asked. "Why brother"

'' The farmer replied, "Didn't you know? The wind picks up pollen grains from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field.

If my neighbors grow inferior, sub-standard & poor quality corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I have to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors to grow good corns."

The farmer gave a superb insight into the connectedness of life. His corn cannot improve unless his neighbors' corn also improves. So it is in the other dimensions and areas of life!

Those who choose to be in harmony must help their neighbors and colleagues to be at peace. Those who choose to live well must help others live well. The value of a life is measured by the lives it touches…Success does not happen in isolation; it is most often a participatory and collective process.

So share the good practices, ideas and new knowledge with your family, friends, team members and neighbors & all.

Our house was directly across the street from the clinic entrance of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. We lived downstairs and rented the upstairs rooms to out patients at the clinic.

One summer evening as I was fixing supper, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to see a truly awful looking man. "Why, he's hardly taller than my eight-year-old," I thought as I stared at the stooped, shriveled body. But the appalling thing was his face, lopsided from swelling, red and raw.

Yet his voice was pleasant as he said, "Good evening. I've come to see if you've a room for just one night. I came for a treatment this morning from the eastern shore, and there's no bus 'til morning."

He told me he'd been hunting for a room since noon but with no success, no one seemed to have a room. "I guess it's my face... I know it looks terrible, but my doctor says with a few more treatments..."

For a moment I hesitated, but his next words convinced me: "I could sleep in this rocking chair on the porch. My bus leaves early in the morning."

I told him we would find him a bed, but to rest on the porch. I went inside and finished getting supper. When we were ready, I asked the old man if he would join us. "No thank you. I have plenty." And he held up a brown paper bag.

When I had finished the dishes, I went out on the porch to talk with him a few minutes. It didn't take a long time to see that this old man had an oversized heart crowded into that tiny body. He told me he fished for a living to support his daughter, her five children, and her husband, who was hopelessly crippled from a back injury.

He didn't tell it by way of complaint; in fact, every other sentence was preface with a thanks to God for a blessing. He was grateful that no pain accompanied his disease, which was apparently a form of skin cancer. He thanked God for giving him the strength to keep going.

At bedtime, we put a camp cot in the children's room for him. When I got up in the morning, the bed linens were neatly folded and the little man was out on the porch.

He refused breakfast, but just before he left for his bus, haltingly, as if asking a great favor, he said, Could I please come back and stay the next time I have a treatment? I won't put you out a bit. I can sleep fine in a chair." He paused a moment and then added, "Your children made me feel at home. Grownups are bothered by my face, but children don't seem to mind." I told him he was welcome to come again.

And on his next trip he arrived a little after seven in the morning.

As a gift, he brought a big fish and a quart of the largest oysters I had ever seen. He said he had shucked them that morning before he left so that they'd be nice and fresh. I knew his bus left at 4:00 a.m. and I wondered what time he had to get up in order to do this for us.

In the years he came to stay overnight with us there was never a time that he did not bring us fish or oysters or vegetables from his garden.

Other times we received packages in the mail, always by special delivery; fish and oysters packed in a box of fresh young spinach or kale, every leaf carefully washed. Knowing that he must walk three miles to mail these, and knowing how little money he had made the gifts doubly precious.

When I received these little remembrances, I often thought of a comment our next-door neighbor made after he left that first morning.

"Did you keep that awful looking man last night? I turned him away! You can lose roomers by putting up such people!"

Maybe we did lose roomers once or twice. But oh! If only they could have known him, perhaps their illnesses would have been easier to bear.

I know our family always will be grateful to have known him; from him we learned what it was to accept the bad without complaint and the good with gratitude to God.

Recently I was visiting a friend, who has a greenhouse, as she showed me her flowers, we came to the most beautiful one of all, a golden chrysanthemum, bursting with blooms. But to my great surprise, it was growing in an old dented, rusty bucket. I thought to myself, "If this were my plant, I'd put it in the loveliest container I had!"

My friend changed my mind. "I ran short of pots," she explained, and knowing how beautiful this one would be, I thought it wouldn't mind starting out in this old pail. It's just for a little while, till I can put it out in the garden."

She must have wondered why I laughed so delightedly, but I was imagining just such a scene in heaven. "Here's an especially beautiful one," God might have said when he came to the soul of the sweet old fisherman. "He won't mind starting in this small body."

All this happened long ago - and now, in God's garden, how tall this lovely soul must stand.

Fact of life :-By the time you realize what your parents said was right…
you will have a kid who begins to think you are wrong.

Ibn al-Qayyim: “How many people have caused misery to their own children, the apples of their eyes, in this world and in the Hereafter, by neglecting them, not disciplining them, encouraging them to follow their whims and desires, thinking that they were honoring them when they were in fact humiliating them, that they were being merciful to them when in fact they were wronging them. They have not benefited from having a child, and they have made the child lose his share in this world and in the Hereafter. If you think about the corruption of children you will see that in most cases it is because of the parents.” (Tuhfat al-Mawlood, p. 146)
