CARROTS EYES
CARROT – EYES
SLICE a carrot and it looks just like an eye, right down to the pattern of the iris. Its a clear clue to the importance this everyday veg has for vision. Carrots get their orange colour from a plant chemical called betacarotene, which reduces the risk of developing cataracts. The chemical also protects against macular degeneration an age-related sight problem that affects one in four over-65s. It is the most common cause of blindness in Britain. But popping a betacarotene pill doesnt have the same effect, say scientists at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore
WALNUT BRAIN
THE gnarled folds of a walnut mimic the appearance of a human brain – and provide a clue to the benefits. Walnuts are the only nuts which contain significant amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. They may also help head off dementia. An American study found that walnut extract broke down the protein-based plaques associated with Alzheimers disease. Researchers at Tufts University in Boston found walnuts reversed some signs of brain ageing in rats. Dr James Joseph, who headed the study, said walnuts also appear to enhance signalling within the brain and encourage new messaging links between brain cells.
TOMATO HEART
A TOMATO is red and usually has four chambers, just like our heart. Tomatoes are also a great source of lycopene, a plant chemical that reduces the risk of heart disease and several cancers. The Womens Health Study ” an American research programme which tracks the health of 40,000 women ” found women with the highest blood levels of lycopene had 30 per cent less heart disease than women who had very little lycopene. Lab experiments have also shown that lycopene helps counter the effect of unhealthy LDL cholesterol. One Canadian study, published in the journal Experimental Biology and Medicine, said there was œconvincing vidence that lycopene prevented coronary heart disease.
GRAPES LUNGS
OUR lungs are made up of branches of ever-smaller airways that finish up with tiny bunches of tissue called alveoli. These structures, which resemble bunches of grapes, allow oxygen to pass from the lungs to the blood stream. One reason that very premature babies struggle to survive is that these alveoli do not begin to form until week 23 or 24 of pregnancy. A diet high in fresh fruit, such as grapes, has been shown to reduce the risk of lung cancer and emphysema. Grape seeds also contain a chemical called proanthocyanidin, which appears to reduce the severity of asthma triggered by allergy.
CHEESE BONES
A nice ˜holey cheese, like Emmenthal, is not just good for your bones, it even resembles their internal structure. And like most cheeses, it is a rich source of calcium, a vital ingredient for strong bones and reducing the risk of osteoporosis later in life. Together with another mineral called phosphate, it provides the main strength in bones but also helps to ˜power muscles. Getting enough calcium in the diet during childhood is crucial for strong bones. A study at Columbia University in New York showed teens who increased calcium intake from 800mg a day to 1200mg equal to an extra two slices of cheddar – boosted their bone density by six per cent.
GINGER STOMACH

Root ginger, commonly sold in supermarkets, often looks just like the stomach. So its interesting that one of its biggest benefits is aiding digestion. The Chinese have been using it for over 2,000 years to calm the stomach and cure nausea, while it is also a popular remedy for motion sickness. But the benefits could go much further.
Tests on mice at the University of Minnesota found injecting the chemical that gives ginger its flavour slowed down the growth rate of bowel tumours. GINGER STOMACH
BANANA (SMILE) DEPRESSION
Cheer yourself up and put a smile on your face by eating a banana. The popular fruit contains a protein called tryptophan. Once it has been digested, tryptophan then gets converted in a chemical neurotransmitter called serotonin. This is one of the most important mood-regulating chemicals in the brain and most anti-depressant drugs work by adjusting levels of serotonin production. Higher levels are associated with better moods.
MUSHROOM EAR
Slice a mushroom in half and it resembles the shape of the human ear. And guess what? Adding it to your cooking could actually improve your hearing. Thats because mushrooms are one of the few foods in our diet that contain vitamin D. This particular vitamin is important for healthy bones, even the tiny ones in the ear that transmit sound to the brain.
BEANSPROUTS - SPERM
The stir-fry favourite bears an uncanny resemblance to the images we see of ‘swimming’ sperm trying to fertilise an egg. And research from the US suggests they could play an important part in boosting male fertility. A study at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio showed that to make healthy sperm in large quantities, the body needs a good supply of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that protects cells against damage by harmful molecules called free radicals. Just half a cup of bean sprouts provides 16 per cent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C for a man. It’s not just dad but baby too who could benefit. Bean sprouts are packed with folate, a vitamin that prevents neural tube defects, where the baby is born with a damaged brain or spine.
BROCCOLI CANCER
Close-up, the tiny green tips on a broccoli head look like hundreds of cancer cells. Now scientists know this disease-busting veg can play a crucial role in preventing the disease. Last year, a team of researchers at the US National Cancer Institute found just a weekly serving of broccoli was enough to reduce the risk of prostate cancer by 45 per cent. In Britain, prostate cancer kills one man every hour.

Correct Way of Eating Fruits

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! - FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit on an empty stomach, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD - Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining - every time I eat water-melon I burp, when I eat durian (fruit from Asia with a foul smell yet delicious flavor) my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc. - actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes - all these will not happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans.. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste.
Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange..

APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoid which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE: Sweetest medicine, eating 2 to 4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene - the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Medical Benefits of Drinking Water On Empty Stomach.

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH:

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately
after waking up every morning. Furthermore,
scientific tests have proven  its value. We publish
below a description of use of water for our readers.
For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses
the water treatment had been found successful
by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure
for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat,
epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis,
kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea,
piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb,
cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

 METHOD OF TREATMENT
1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth,
drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water

2. Brush and clean the mouth but
do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.

4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner
do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours

5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink
4 glasses of water at the beginning
may commence by taking little water
and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases
of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment
required to cure/control/ reduce main diseases:

1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)
2. Gastric (10 days)
3. Diabetes (30 days)
4. Constipation (10 days)
5. Cancer (180 days)6. TB (90 days)
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only
for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards daily.

This treatment method has no side effects,
however at the commencement of treatment
you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure
as a routine work in our life. Drink Water
and Stay healthy and Active.

This makes sense..
The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals..
not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit
while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain.

For those who like to drink cold water,
this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal.
However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff
that you have just consumed.. It will slow down the digestion.

Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down
and be absorbed by the intestine faster
than the solid food. It will line the intestine.

Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer.
It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks:

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom
is going to be the left arm hurting,

Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain
during the course of a heart attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while
they are asleep do not wake up.

Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.
Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know,
the better chance we could survive...

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it
to everyone they know, you can be sure that
we'll save at least one life.

Soft drinks**** killing YOU ****Softly

An interesting piece of information.......

Have a look at the wrapper on a
Coca-Cola 1.5 liter bottle and in the
 ingredients label you will find
 phosphoric acid in it. Minute
quantities of ethylene glycol are also used
 (which is acknowledged
in the soft drink world for making it really chill).

This is popularly known as anti-freeze which prevents water from
freezing at 0 deg C and instead drops it 4-5 degrees with minute
quantities. This chemical is a known slow poison in the caliber of arsenic.

So, if you manage to drink about 4 liters of Coke within an hour or
 so, you can die.

Read along and give up these dangerous things.

Be natural; have flavored milks, tender coconuts, buttermilk, lassi and
plain water instead of these "soft" drinks.

Guess what's the pH for soft
 drinks, e.g. Coke? PH 3.4!

This acidity is strong enough to dissolve
teeth and bones!

Our human body stops building bones at the age of about
 30. Softdrinks do not have any nutrition value (in terms of vitamins &
minerals). It is high in sugar content, carbonic acid, chemicals i.e. colorings
 etc.

Some like to take cold soft drinks after each meal. Guess what's
the impact? Our body needs an optimum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius
for digestive enzyme functioning. The temperature of cold soft drinks is
very much below 37 degrees or even close to 0 degrees Celsius. This will dilute
the enzymes & stress the digestive system. The food taken will not be
digested. In fact it will be fermented! The fermented food produces gases,
decays and becomes toxin, gets absorbed by the intestine, circulates in the
blood stream and is carried to the whole body. Hence toxin is cumulated in other
parts of the body, developing into various diseases.

 Think before you
drink Coke/Pepsi (or any soft drink) again.

 Have you ever thought what
you drink when you drink an aerated drink?

You gulp down carbon dioxide,
when nobody in the world would advise you to drink CO2. Two months back, there
 was a competition at Delhi
University "Who could drink the most Coke?" The
winner drank 8 bottles and fainted on the spot-too much CO2 in the blood.

Thereafter, the principal banned all soft drinks from the college canteen!

While this might have been an extreme measure, their results do
provide some food for thought. Did you know that soft drinks use chemicals
in them that cause immense harm to you. Someone put a broken tooth in a
bottle of Pepsi and in 10 days it DISSOLVED! Can you believe it? Teeth and
bones are the only human parts that stay intact for years after death. Imagine
what the drink must be doing to your soft intestines and stomach
 lining!

The top five cancer-causing foods

Live Life Without Limits!
The top five cancer-causing foods are:

1. Hot dogs Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and baconAlso high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

 3. Doughnuts Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.

8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'

Regular Health Mistakes...

All of us make little health mistakes that cause damage to our bodies in
the long run - simply because we are unaware we are doing something wrong.
Here are some of the most common mistakes made by many of us.

Crossing our legs:

Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believe
that this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts down circulation
to your legs. If you don"t want varicose veins to mar the beauty of your legs
and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time you realise you have
one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is to simply place both legs
together on the floor, balancing your weight equally. If you feel like changing
position, instead of crossing your legs, simply move both legs together to
one side. As an alternative, you could also consider crossing your legs loosely
at the ankles. This is a classically elegant way to sit, and is far better for your legs
and your health than sitting with your legs crossed at your knees.

Not changing our toothbrush:

How often do you change your toothbrush? Most of us wait until most of
the bristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we"d be
embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us
need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until
we lose it. Replace your toothbrush often. Damaged bristles can harm
the enamel, and don"t massage your gums well. If you find brushing your teeth
a pain like I do, but know you must do it, you might as well be doing it right.
Imagine going through the annoyance of brushing your teeth twice a day only
to find out that you"re damaging your enamel every time you clean your teeth.
Also, use a brush with soft bristles unless your dentist has advised otherwise.

Eating out often:
There are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harm and
are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, it is never
a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods.Remember that in all
probability your favourite Indian food restaurant throws a huge, HUGE
chunk of butter in a tiny bowl of dal. Rita, who worked in the kitchen of
a 5 star hotel, was shocked when she saw the cook chop a 500gm butter
slab in half, and throw half into a Paneer Makhani dish. No wonder
the customers left licking their fingers. And no wonder they felt so stuffed
and heavy afterwards. Limit outdoor eating unless you know that you"re
getting served light and healthy food.

Skipping breakfast:
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning
it"s been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now,
more than at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy
through the day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying
to diet, eat a light dinner. Here are some more common health mistakes we make.
Being informed and making a few changes can help make us feel a whole lot better.

High heels:
High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. This however doesn't
mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not when you know you will
be walking around a lot. Wear them when going out for lunch or dinner - when the
only walking you will be doing is to your car, to the table, and back. Avoid high heels
when you are going somewhere on foot. If you are constantly tempted to wear your
heels, take a good look at your flats. Is there something about them you dislike?
Invest in a new pair of beautiful flats or shoes with a low heel. Buy something you love,
that you will enjoy wearing. If possible, get a matching bag. You will then enjoy your flats
as much as you do your heels.

Sleeping on a soft bed:
You don't have to sleep on the floor be kind to your back, but do make sure
you have a firm mattress. Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovely to sink into,
it's bad for your back. If you already have an old bed with springs, you don't need to
invest in a new one - simply get a thick wooden plank put over the springs, and place
the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and
get a new one. Your neck and your back will thank you. The same rule applies to sofas.
If you will be spending hours on a sofa, get a firm yet comfortable one. Sofas you
completely sink into are not the best idea.

Pillows:
No matter how comfortable sleeping with ten cushions is, have pity on your neck
and resist. Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow
gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thin pillow if you sleep on
your stomach, and something a little thicker if you sleep on your back,
to give your neck adequate support

 Not exercising:
So all of us know we should exercise more, but many of us don't.
This is a health mistake we consciously make! And why is that?
Simply because we refuse to admit the damage we are causing to
our bodies by not working out. A number of people only start working out
once they've experienced a warning signal. Don't wait for a heart attack to
strike before you decide to opt for a lifestyle change. Make the change now.
You don't need to train for the marathon to be in top shape. Half an hour of
brisk walking three to four times a week will make a world of difference to
your health. You could then increase this to forty minutes, four times a week - and
you're all set. If you haven't exercised for a week, you're making a mistake.

12 Possible Heart Attack Symptoms

DON'T MISS THESE 12 POSSIBLE WARNING SIGNS THAT
SOMETHING IS AMISS WITH YOUR HEART.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of U.S. men and women,
accounting for 40% of all U.S. deaths. That's more than
all forms of cancer combined.

Why is heart disease so deadly? One reason is that

many people are slow to seek help when symptoms arise.
Yes, someone gripped by sudden chest pain probably knows
to call 911. But heart symptoms aren't always intense or obvious,
and they vary from person to person and according to gender.

Because it can be hard to make sense of heart symptoms,

doctors warn against ignoring possible warning signs,
toughing them out, waiting to see if they go away, or
being quick to blame them on heartburn, muscle soreness,
or other less serious, noncardiac causes. That's especially true
for men and people over 65, as well as for people with
other cardiac risk factors, such as high cholesterol or
blood pressure, obesity, smoking, diabetes, or a family history
of heart disease.

"The more risk factors you have, the higher the likelihood

that a symptom means something is going on with your heart,"
says David Frid, MD, a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic.
"People often don't want to admit that they're old enough or sick
enough to have heart trouble. Putting off treatment for other
medical problems might not be so bad, but a serious heart problem
can mean sudden death. It's better to go in and get it evaluated
than to be dead."
12 Possible Heart Symptoms Never to Ignore
Here are a dozen symptoms that may signal heart trouble.

1. Anxiety. Heart attack can cause intense anxiety or
a fear of death. Heart attack survivors often talk
about having experienced a sense of "impending doom."

2. Chest discomfort. Pain in the chest is the classic symptom
of heart attack, and "the No. 1 symptom that we typically
look for," says Jean C. McSweeney, PhD, RN, associate dean
for research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
College of Nursing in Little Rock and a pioneer in research
on heart symptoms in women. But not all heart attacks
cause chest pain, and chest pain can stem from ailments
that have nothing to do with the heart.

Heart-related chest pain is often centered under the
breastbone, perhaps a little to the left of center. The pain has
been likened to "an elephant sitting on the chest," but it
can also be an uncomfortable sensation of pressure, squeezing,
or fullness. "It's not unusual for women to describe the pain
as a minor ache," McSweeney says. "Some women say the
pain wasn't bad enough even to take a Tylenol."
Women, more so than men, can also experience a burning
sensation in their chest, rather than a pressure or pain.
"Sometimes people make the mistake that the pain comes
from a stomach problem," says Nieca Goldberg, MD,
clinical associate professor of medicine at the NYU
Langone Medical Center in New York City and another expert
on women's heart symptoms.

3. Cough. Persistent coughing or wheezing can be a symptom
of heart failure -- a result of fluid accumulation in the lungs.
In some cases, people with heart failure cough up bloody phlegm.

4. Dizziness. Heart attacks can cause lightheadedness and
loss of consciousness.  So can potentially dangerous heart
rhythm abnormalities known as arrhythmias.

5. Fatigue. Especially among women, unusual fatigue can occur
during a heart attack as well as in the days and weeks leading
up to one. And feeling tired all the time may be a symptom of
heart failure. Of course, you can also feel tired or fatigued
for other reasons. How can you tell heart-related fatigue from
other types of fatigue? "If you don't feel well and all the wind
is knocked out of your sails, don't try to figure it out
on the Internet or from a book," says Goldberg.  "Wasting time
is dangerous."

6. Nausea or lack of appetite. It's not uncommon for people to
feel sick to their stomach or throw up during a heart attack.
And abdominal swelling associated with heart failure
can interfere with appetite.

7. Pain in other parts of the body. In many heart attacks,
pain begins in the chest and spreads to the shoulders, arms,
elbows, back, neck, jaw, or abdomen. But sometimes
there is no chest pain -- just pain in these other body areas.
The pain might come and go.

Men having a heart attack often feel pain in the left arm.
In women, the pain is more likely to be felt in both arms,
or between the shoulder blades.

8. Rapid or irregular pulse. Doctors say that there's nothing
worrisome about an occasional skipped heartbeat. But a rapid
or irregular pulse -- especially when accompanied by weakness,
dizziness, or shortness of breath -- can be evidence of a
heart attack, heart failure, or an arrhythmia. Left untreated,
some arrhythmias can lead to stroke, heart failure, or sudden death

9. Shortness of breath. People who feel winded at rest or
with minimal exertion might have a pulmonary condition
like asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
But breathlessness could also indicate a heart attack or heart failure.
"Sometimes people having a heart attack don't have chest pressure
or pain but feel extremely short of breath," Goldberg says.

"It's like they've just run a marathon when they haven't even moved."
During a heart attack, shortness of breath often accompanies chest
discomfort, but it can also occur before or without chest discomfort.

10. Sweating. Breaking out in a cold sweat is a common symptom
of heart attack. "You might just be sitting in a chair when all
of a sudden you are really sweating like you had just worked out,"
Frid says.

11. Swelling. Heart failure can cause fluid to accumulate in the body.
This can cause swelling (often in the feet, ankles, legs, or abdomen)
as well as sudden weight gain and sometimes a loss of appetite.

12. Weakness. In the days leading up to a heart attack, as
well as during one, some people experience severe, unexplained
weakness. "One woman told me it felt like she couldn't hold
a piece of paper between her fingers,"

Panadol

Another reminder about panadol......
Sharing as recd...............

PANADOL My husband was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is planning to set up a database of its patients and he knows some of the doctors quite well.

The doctors used to tell him that whenever they have a headache, they are not willing to take PANADOL / PARACETAMOL. In fact, they will turn Herbal Medicine or find other alternatives. This is because Panadol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver.

According to the doctor, Panadol will remain in the body for at least 5 years. And according to the doctor, there was an air-hostess who consumed lots of Panadol as she needed to stand all the time and work under lots of pressure. She's now in her early 30's, and she is undergoing kidney cleaning (DIALYSIS) every month. Whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron / Ion imbalance in the brain.

Some alternative solution to cope with this matter is Drink lots of water. Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it brings the blood pressure down from your throbbing head. As Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the lesser would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain). We all will fall ill as we age.

Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount of Panadol (Pain Killer), when you need to have a surgery or operation, you will need a much more amount of general anaesthesia. If you have a very high intake of Panadol throughout your life (Migraine, Menstrual cramps ) it is very likely that normal general anesthetics will have no effects on you as your body is pumped / full with Panadol and your body is so used to pain killer that you would need a much stronger pain killer, Morphine????

The thought is scary enough to turn me to Herbal Medicine or other healthier alternative. Value your health, value your life, THINK TWICE before you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again. Please don't take PANADOL always and try to send his e-mail to people you care.
