Once me and my daughter were in a carpark waiting to pay the parking fees, I was in my hijab, and it was a very hot day drenching 38 degrees in Sydney ! This women who was at the back of us, glaring at the hijab, said to her husband sarcatically ..." Oh my my , It is freezing today" and gave a stare at... my daughter who was also in hijab even thought she is only 8 yrs old, We ignored it once , after sometime she again said " I think it is tooo Cold people have really been over dressed" ..There we go , we got another dose..My daughter in confusion she said " Mum I dont think it is freezing today...I smiled at her and the lady was watching her carefully...I said to my daughter " You know my child Why we wear the hijab..It is our protection Allah has ordered us to wear...U know Allah knows best for his creation..Right ! " My daughter said " Ofcourse mum..there is no doubt about that" , and then I told her "My Child you see it is so hot here and the sun's rays are very harmful for our skin , you see Allah knows that the skin of women are really soft and fragile , you see how Allah SWT protects us through his wise words" That lady was listening to everythingi said...the line was soo big, the machine had some problem and was getting things done mannually now.! Then my daughter was so intrested and she said so what happen mum.." I continued saying that if we cannot handle the heat of the sun..then imagine how we can bear the heat of the hell fire...!" ....My daughter gave this lady a smile and told me mum ..."Allah Always speaks the truth"..without commenting harshly back..I am sure we can pass the message with words of truth.
