Never underestimate a mothers Du'aa

Imam of Ka'bah: Beautiful Story
Shaykh Al-Kalbaani, former Imam of the Ka'bah, at a conference in London was telling us this story:

When he was young, he was a very naughty boy. He would make his mother angry. But his mother, Allah bless her, was a very righteous woman and she knew the power of Dua.

She made it her habit that, in her anger at him, she would say this Dua: "O Allah guide YOU! And make you the IMAM of the Ka'bah!"

Imam Al-Kalbani tells us, "so Allah answered her dua and I went on to become the Imam of the Ka'bah!" Allahu akbar! :)

Call your Mother she misses you :'(
Love your parents and treat them with love and care. For you will only know their value when you see their empty chair.

To all mothers,

You loved me before you met me.

You loved me even when I nonstop cried,

Even when I kept you up all night,

Even when I failed when it came to potty training,

And you had to stay up and wash n’ dry,

Even when I ‘grew up’ and said words that I wish I could take back,

Even when I became a teenager and felt like I did not need you anymore,

Even when I disappointed you over and over and over again.

Even when you came home dead tired from work, but still cooked me up dinner.

Even when I forgot to do my part as a daughter, yet you never forgot to be a mother.

There is an attachment to you that words cannot describe

No wonder Allah compares his mercy as greater than yours- your love and mercy is a blessing only from Him

No wonder, you, my mothers, are the life, the foundation, and the ‘umm’ that makes ‘Ummah’.

No wonder Jannah is at your feet.

A Mother's Love

This world has jewels, money, land
position, power, and mansions grand
But a mother's love more precious far,
than all these other treasures are.

A mother nurtures, guides, protects
Her teachings each child's life affects,
and when in later years they go,
away from home, and friends they know
Those teachings will provide the stay,
to keep them on the good straight way.

Though some may stray to taste the fruits,
of worldly pleasures -- still the roots
of Mother's teachings, love, and care
will some day draw them back to where,
the Savior's love can them enfold,
and fill them with a spirit bold.

So children, each and every day,
honor your mother in some way --
To show that you appreciate,
she taught you how to love, not hate.
To comfort you, to guide, to lead,
to be there in your time of need.

But best of all, -- to show the way,
that leads to home with Allaah some day.

ƸӜƷ•°*””*°•.ƸӜƷ•°*””*°•.ƸӜƷƸӜƷ•°*””*°•.

My son, This is a letter of injury from your poor mother, who wrote in shyness after much delay and hesitation. Often, she had picked up a pen and was stopped by a tear! And she would stop the tear, only that the heart's wailing would prevail.

'My son...after all this time, I see you a matured man, of sound mind and balanced emotions. It is my right over you that you should at least read this paper, and then if you wish, you can rip it, as you have ripped at the corners of my heart before.

'My son...more than twenty years ago, it was a bright and sunny day in my life when the doctor told me I was pregnant. Mothers, my son, know the meaning of this word well! It is a blend of joy and rapture, and the beginning of pain marked by physical and emotional changes. And after those glad tidings, I carried you nine months inside me with jubilant happiness. I rose with difficulty, and I slept with difficulty. I ate with difficulty, and I breathed with difficulty. Only none of this lessened my delight and love for you.

Instead, my love grew more with the days and a longing for you flourished within me.

'I carried you, my son, enduring weakness upon weakness, and pain upon pain, delighting at your movement, and rejoicing at your weight's increase, though it was for me, a heavy burden. It was long suffering, after which came the dawn of a night I did not sleep in or close my eyelids. I acquired of suffering and anguish, and of fear and alarm, what neither a pen can describe nor a tongue utter.

'The hurt grew so severe I lacked strength to cry, and I saw death with my eyes several times. This lasted until you came out into the world, when the tears of your screams mixed with the tears of my bliss, and removed all my torment and injury. Even in my pain, I held you in tenderness and kissed you before they could take you away and wash you with a single drop of water.

'My son... years have passed of your life as I have carried you in my heart and bathed you with my hands. I made my lap for you a bed and my bosom for you nourishment. I was awake during my nights so you could sleep and laboring during my days so you could be happy. My wish, everyday, was to see your smile, and my pleasure, every moment, that you should ask for something I could make for you. These things were the peak of my ecstasy.

'The days and nights passed and I was still in that state: an attendant servant who did not neglect and a nurse who did not stop; a worker who did not rest and a supplicant for your good and success who did not slacken. I watched you day after day until your body strengthened and your youthful energy turned righteous, and the signs of manhood began to appear in you. I found myself running left and right, searching for you for the kind of wife you requested.

'The date of your marriage came, and the time of your wedding neared. At this, my heart tore, and my tears ran, out of joy for your new life and sadness at your parting. After that, the hours passed heavily, and the moments slowly, and then I suddenly realized you were not my son that I knew. Your smile had vanished, your voice had disappeared, and your expression grown sullen. You have forsaken me and forgotten my rights!

'The days pass and I watch for your countenance and wait with a yearning sorrow to hear your voice. Your abandonment has grown long, and the days have spread out. I have stared patiently at the door, hoping you might come, and listened expectantly for the sound of the ringing phone until I thought myself delusional. And here the days have extended and the nights grown dark, and I neither see you nor hear your voice. You have disregarded the person who took care of you with the best of human care.

'My son, I don't ask but little. Put me in the place of your slightest friend, the farthest from your regard. Make me, my son, one of your monthly stations, so that I see you then if only for a sparing time.

'My son...my back has arched and my limbs have shriveled. I have been wearied by ailments and visited by sickness. I do not rise except with adversity, nor sit except with hardship, and my heart still throbs with love for you.

'My son, whenever I learn that you are happy in your life, my happiness and joy increase. I am puzzled, when you are the product of my toils. What sin have I reaped that I have become an enemy you cannot stand to see, and whose visit is so burdensome? Did I falter some day in your treatment, or neglect for a moment your attendance? Make me like the rest of your servants whose rights you give to them, and grant me a part of your mercy. Award me with some of my recompense, and be good, for Allah loves the doers of good.

'My son, I wish to see you! I don't want other than that! My heart has broken, and my tears have flowed, and you are alive and receiving sustenance. I hear people still talk about your refined manners and gracious conduct. Let me see, if nothing else, the frown of your face, and the features of your anger.

'My son...is it not time for your heart to soften to a frail woman worn out by longing and restrained by mourning; a woman who has made grief her emblem and distress her garment; a women whose weeping you have caused, whose heart you have saddened, and whose kinship you have broken?

'My son...here is the door to heaven before you, so pursue it, and knock upon it. Perhaps I will meet you there by my Lord's mercy as it camein the Hadith: 'The parent is the best door to paradise. So if you want, you may ignore this door or pay attention to it' [narrated by Imam Ahmed]

My son, I know that since your height has increased and your shoulders broadened, you have been looking for reward and merit. Perhaps today you have forgotten the words of the Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wasallam : 'The best of deeds to Allah is prayer at its proper time, then kindness to the parents, then Jihad in the cause of Allah [agreed upon].' Here then is that reward without the waging of battles or slaying of enemies, so where are you from the best of deeds?

'My son, I warn you from being of those meant by the Prophet ﷺ when he said: 'Let him be humbled, let him be humbled, let him be humbled.' It was said: 'Who, oh Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Whomever finds his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and does not enter Paradise' [Muslim]

'My son, I will not raise the complaints or disclose the sorrow, for it they rise above the clouds and reach the sky's door, you will be seized with the evil of ungratefulness. Punishment will come down to you, and your living be overtaken with calamity. No, I will not do that. You are still my son, a piece of me. You are the flower of my heart, and the delight of my life.

'Wake up my son. Old age is overtaking you, and years will pass and you will soon become an aged father. Reward is given according to doing, and you will write letters to your son with tears as I have to you. And with Allah, adversity gathers.' Son, fear Allah in your mother, and be constant to her, for heaven is at her feet. Brush away her tears, and ease her sadness, and if you still insist, then rip her letter.

And know, that whomever does good, it is for himself, and whomever doe evil, it is against him.

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to
put them down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I
couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so
much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so
important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every
10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,
the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a
Mom.

The day she vows to be a wife

The battle of life begins
The ups and downs in life
Is packed along with her luggage
Packets of tears and a bucket of courage
Is packed along when she leaves her home

Smiles to keep others smile
Comfort to give to whom she bounds
Cuddle the joy and embrace the happiness
Dust away the sorrows and pains
All were taught when she patches along

The tales to hear
The insults to bear
The questions to reply
The thousands of judges
When she simply fails to bear

Nights without sleep
Days being dizzy
Hundreds of instructions to care
And pain alone she bear

Blood she sacrifices
Tears she pays with
A scream and a cry
Makes her day brighten

Runs miles per day
Behind her precious joy
Pesters to feed and give
Them with the best

Sacrifices her beauty
And even her duty
For the others of her loving ones
Who paces from her when they assumed she cared not

The whole world she builds
Around the children she bred
Thinks not for herself
Not for her life as well

The time wheels
The earth rotates
The days pass
And the world changes

Her youth has fled
Her strength has withered
Her voice has gone unheard
So her children has done the same

Here she lies in the hospital bed
Suffering alone to breathe her life
Not a single word she spills to blame her life
Nor the lives she sacrificed for

Oh! Mother…
How can this be your fate?
Why has this been your fate?
Fate of a mother and a father too
How many mothers would be neglected?
How many fathers would be abandoned?
Children of Adam you have your own reasons
Yet did you know she/he could have given thousands of reasons
To get rid of you when you were just a leach in her?

Deja Vu
S.Lubna

''WILL YOU NOT LISTEN TO ME?'' he yelled on the top of his voice. A chill ran down my spine.
''Leave my kids alone please Haroon for Allah's sake have mercy. I never spoke anything when you did anything to me. Spare my kids of your wrath please i beg of you'' Maa wept in every breath. Heavy breaths as i could feel them still, being in my room. She begged for mercy, begged and cried repeatedly to her so called 'better half'. But no sign of mercy no silver lining shone in the darkness of evil.
''WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP WOMAN? You have been the cause of all my failures. I used to be so successful, I use to earn enough to provide my family my brothers my mother and even to fill you and your kids' filthy mouths. But you had to cast your omen on me, didn't you? And today you stand up to me, YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO STAND UP TO ME when i am teaching our children to be polite? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO STAY HERE!!'' he barked with his aged might and pulled my mother with her hair.
I gulped in an uncertain lump of emotions pouring out from my heart. It was like a movie, being telecast again, a scene i'm watching again. A deja vu, of an event fifteen years ago.

I was ten. Too young to understand most things. The age where the kids have the apathy of having the best bag in class, i had the tension to be good to avoid the fights between my parents.
''SAVE MEE ASMAAA SAVE ME!!'' I heard Maa's scream. Too loud to be unheard. I ran back in our house leaving my hopscotch midway. The voice got louder as i approached my home. ''Save me ASMA save me please!'' she begged to a ten year old. I looked at her. Her face had turned red. As she had turned when she gave birth to my youngest brother Luqman. It wasn't long ago. May be some weeks back. Yet that didn't seem the cause she was crying. She was in pain. I could see that. I could see a lot more than that which i never wished to see.
She was still screaming. Mourning. ''ASMAAA...'' her call was turning into a cry. A weep. As i saw Abbu pull her by her hair.

He was yelling something. But i didn't bother to hear. I was scared of him. Since always. I stood near the door fearing to be his other victim. Yet i wanted to save Maa.
Asia, my baby sister, she caught my shirt in fear. She too was scared.
I looked down at her. She didnt look normal. She was trembling. In fear and fever too. I tried consoling her but before i could say anything, we heard a big blow.
I snapped back to see Abbu slap Maa with his belt, his hand, and every cruel tool possible.
Maa screamt louder and Asia started crying. As loud as Maa.
I could bear it no more. I could see Maa bleed. Her fair skin turning red. Her brown eyes fading in tears. Her wounds turning green grey and black.
I was terrified. Horrified to the limit i could be.
How i wish i was strong enough, big enough to save my mother. She was in sheer pain. And i could do nothing.
I caught Asia's had and ran back out to get help. I couldn't leave her alone in that den. With a hunter on the loose, hungry for blood. I just couldn't.
We ran here and there, not knowing what to do. Not knowing whom to ask help from. We ran here and there.

''ASMAA!'' the same cry brought me back to the Deja Vu. I saw a belt in Abbu's hands. His intentions didnt look pure. Asia caught my dress. I looked at her. The fear in her eyes was no more alive. All that i could see was agony. Hate against the act that was about to happen.
No i was scared, scared to look up and see the belt slap my mother's body. I couldn't let it happen again. But it was too late.
Before i could give birth to my thoughts, i heard the blow.
We ran out of the room. Me Asia and Luqman.
We could not bear his wrath on Maa anymore.
''Abbu!'' Asia screamt on the top of her voice.
I ran and hugged Maa to absorb myself any blow that would now harm her.
Abbu raised his belt to hit Asia too. But he could not sway. Luqman held his aged arms wit his adolescent strength and snatched away the belt.
''She is our mother!'' Asia was in tears. ''She bore enough for twenty-five years Abbu, not anymore!'' she forced the words from her heavy throat.
Maa and her three children were now on one side of the LOC. And Abbu on the other side.
I saw him drop down astounded for he just couldn't believe that his kids raised up swords against him.
I guess he realised, what he sowed as the fruit that bloomed was not of his choice but of his orchard.

“You who believe! It is not lawful for you to inherit women by force. Nor may you treat them harshly so that
you can make off with part of what you have given them, unless they commit an act of flagrant indecency.
Live together with them correctly and courteously.
If you dislike them, it may well be that you dislike something in which ALLAH has placed a lot of good.” (4:19)
