At times,
This place can be so lonely.
Trying hard to please You,
But in doing so,
Seeming like a stranger amongst the familiar.
The comfort comes from knowing,
The disdain that the people show
Is in actuality, a reflection of their murky soul.
For pleasing You,
Brings only ease,
Making the sadness that comes,
Bearable.

How often are we guilty of overlooking the kindnesses of those around us..
When they stumble..
We forget their goodness..
And all we recall,
The moment they fell short!

So next time we hear that whisper in our ears,
The questioning of the intent of others,
Step back,
Self-reflect..
Are they any less human than you or I?
Let go of someone's moment of weakness..
And recall every moment they have exceeded your expectations...

Each soul that enters our lives,
Can leave us changed forever;
Whether rare gems with whom bonds were formed in the heavens.
Or those who were sent to make us better -
Whether through hurting us, and so teaching us patience,
Or by showing us a reflection of who we can be,
Teaching us the desire to be more than we believed we could be.
Each soul has a wealth of worth,
