It's easy to criticize someone behind their back. However, advising them personally and privately is what takes true strength.

You usually can't stop people from talking about you behind your back, but you can certainly look forward to receiving their good deeds on the Day of Judgement

In trying to resolve a conflict with someone one of the biggest mistakes you can make is judging their feelings based off of how you feel.

Someone who is truly conscious of Allah will never abuse their spouse; this is one of the reasons why the Prophet (salAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) instructed us to make it the foremost trait we look for when wanting to marry.

We should feel comfortable advising one another, but we shouldn't feel comfortable disrespecting one another.

Gossiping, habitually talking about others, and discussing rumors, all slowly eat away at the soul and deaden the heart. In order to bring some life back to it, force yourself to make a habit out of only speaking well of others or saying nothing at all (as we were instructed to do so by the Prophet ﷺ).

Intimidating others with your tongue may make you feel strong in this life, but it may very well cripple you in the next.

Most people don't like being around those who are habitually and continually critical of others

If you go out of your way to find the faults of others, remember that you yourself have many faults and flaws that Allah has kept hidden, and once you open that door He may expose your faults.
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever seeks to expose the faults of his Muslim brother, Allah will expose his faults and humiliate him, even if he hides in the innermost part of his home.' [Ahmad]

"Not everyone will be happy at your success nor will everyone be saddened by your loss so be careful whom you share your personal matters with."
-Mufti Ismail Menk

"The heart is a confusing, altering thing. No state is forever. No state of bliss lasts forever. But no state of pain does either. They all pass. So if you experience happiness, ask Allah to make it forever in jennah. And if you experience sadness, ask Allah to make it a means of purification and elevation for you. And know that this too shall pass. "
-Yasmin Mogahed

"I prefer by far the warmth and softness to mere brilliancy and coldness. Some people remind me of sharp dazzling diamonds. Valuable but lifeless and loveless. Others, of the simplest field flowers, with hearts full of dew and with all the tints of celestial beauty reflected in their modest petals."
— Anaïs Nin

"Remember, you are tested with the people you meet; likewise, you are a test for them. Do not make it any harder for them. There are many, who pray for someone to understand them, or for someone to come into their life to help them, or to simply make them smile. "

"When proven wrong, the wise man will correct himself and the ignorant will keep arguing."
- Ali (R.A)

"I don't like what you are doing, but I won't insult you for it. You know why? Because who you are tomorrow may be better than who I am today."
-Tariq Ramadan

"If we realized that these might be our last words, our last smiles gifted one another, our last glimpses of the face we equalize to love; I doubt we would ever be able to say goodbye. Yet we do. And we slam doors behind our backs, we hang up phone calls angrily and harshly, we refuse to look into each other’s eyes as we part from an argument.
Poisonously we leave each other’s company and we realize not that tomorrow we might come face to face again, one of us draped in white and lowered to the earth, the other regretting the words last said."

How time changes even those who stand still,

Nothing goes untouched,
Though our hearts may wish for things to stay the same;
Time never stopped for anyone,
So we keep living,
Each day,
In the hope of finding peace.

Go easy on those who hurt over losses endured..
Show patience and tolerance,
That may be all that broken soul needs to help ease their healing path..

Your Mercy finds me always in need,
No matter my condition
I cannot be, unless You allow it.
So I kneel and hope in reverend prayer;
Do not forsake me,
Leaving me forever lost.

Your Mercy finds me always in need...

Oh to be the soul that rises to the challenge,
To not fall when life throws a heavy hand,
But to persevere and know that the Promise is near.

This life is a moment,
Whether fulfilling of our every need,
Or leaving us needing some more -
This life is an empty existence,
For those who dream of the Bliss of Our Eternal Promise.

Time has passed,

Looking back
At what seems like footsteps in the sand.
Promises were made,
But only pain seems to have been gained.
The hope remains;
Nothing lasts..
Nothing lasts.

There are those beautiful souls that steal our hearts,
And make them their own.
Those gems that we meet upon this path of life,
They leave us changed
Forever.
Souls that we knew once upon a time,
Whom we meet and "lose" by "chance" on this ever-changing path.
So we walk
Each day
Hoping to find ourselves back upon the Plains,
Reunited with all those beautiful souls once again.

When we stop asking,

We stop learning,
So the best lessons would appear to be from Him;
When we beseech Allah for what we want,
And hope for,
He answers in the ways He KNOWS to be best,
So we wait,
And hope
We have the strength to endure what comes our way.

Our tears are messengers from the heart,

Telling of pains that the lips cannot bear to utter.
Our tears they speak of pains unforgotten,
Though the smile worn on the face may suggest otherwise.
Our tears they are our means of surviving;
When the world tries to break us,
They speak out with defiance!

One frantically seeks the light of faith, when thrown into the darkness of despair..
